FAQ
Answers to common questions.
What happens if an agent has no cover?#
The transaction is denied. No active cover means no transaction.
Does valid cover guarantee a transaction goes through?#
No. If cover is valid, the transaction must still pass an independent mandate firewall. Valid cover never makes an unsafe transaction acceptable.
How is this different from an agent wallet or policy engine?#
Agent wallets and policy engines limit what an agent can sign. CoverGate adds cover as a second, independent condition for spending.
How is this different from an on-chain cover protocol?#
On-chain cover protocols pay claims after a loss. CoverGate checks cover before the transaction runs and blocks spend without it.
How is this different from simulation and security tools?#
Those tools flag risky transactions. CoverGate combines those checks with cover status in one execution decision.
Can I test without real funds?#
Yes. The sandbox provides test certificates and mandates for integration work without real funds.
Has CoverGate been audited?#
Not yet. Any audit will be announced with the report.
